Sam is a new postdoctoral research fellow presently working on the antimicrobial potential of a specifically designed LNA sequence directed to bind the chi sequence in a partially UV-damaged bacterial genome. He will also be working on the DSB by recombinantly expressing and examining the function of the PolIV, which is an essential protein part of the DSB repair mechanism in bacteria.
